Journal articles can be intimidating and difficult to understand at first. For tips on how to read one, see "How to read a journal article" (link to the left).
Review articles:
Review articles are good articles to present. They go into a lot of detail and are generally more accessable.
Articles intended for a broad audience:
Although these articles are intended for a broad audience, they can still be difficult to understand. The exception is "Physical Review Focus," which takes articles from "Physical Review Letters" and "Physical Review" and explains them in greater detail.
Articles intended for a specialized audience:
These articles are longer than those listed in the previous section. As a result, while they contain content geared to a specialized audience, they also include more information helpful for a newcomer to the field.
Physical Review A (Atomic, Molecular, and Optical Physics)
Physical Review B (Condensed Matter and Materials Physics)
Physical Review C (Nuclear Physics)
Physical Review D (Particles, Fields, Gravitation, and Cosmology)
Physical Review E (Statistical, Nonlinear, and Soft Matter Physics)
